Field Trips for Kids. A Break for Parents.

What?

Join us for a Winter Break tour of the top Bay Area museums, nature centers and parks on a bio diesel, solar-powered eco-bus provided by Teacher with the Bus. Our 2nd – 5th grade campers will take daily field trips with our award-winning staff for behind-the-scenes access to the following centers: Daily Field Trips: Monday, Dec. 21st: Insect Discovery Lab and Aquarium of the Baytwb-exterior Tuesday, Dec. 22nd:Lawrence Hall of Science and Tilden Regional Parks

Financial Aid: Camperships

Are you in need of additional support this holiday break? With the generous support of Institute for Family Development International, we have scholarships (“camperships”), to offer qualifying families. Camperships will be granted based on need. (Children must currently be in 2nd – 5th grade & able to be at drop-off/pick-up locations to qualify.) Please download the application form or call Eva at 415.282.6673 to apply. Please fax, email or mail complete applications. We will contact you if you are granted a campership by Friday, Dec. 11th.

FAQs

1. Do I need to pack a lunch? Yes! Lunch will not be provided, so please pack a lunch and drink for your child. If they are enrolled in extended care, make sure to pack extra snacks. Be sure to write your child’s name on their lunch. For the safety of everyone, we are a nut-free camp. PLEASE DO NOT BRING NUT PRODUCTS. Don’t worry. We promise plenty of nuttiness will ensue! 2. What if I need to drop-off/pick-up my child early? Drop-off: Our award-winning staff will be waiting at the drop-off locations 15 minutes before the scheduled times. Pick-up: If you need to pick up your child early, please let us know ahead of time and you may meet us at one of our visit locations. 3. What if I miss the bus? Call your Camp Director, Sara Statler, at 415.240.0738. You may meet us at our next site/drop-off location. 4. What if I’m late for pick-up? a. All children not picked up by 3:15pm at Noe Valley location will be bused to our Presidio Heights location. (see above) b. All children not picked up by 4pm at Presidio Heights location will be charged the “a la carte” extended care rate of $20/day (hours are not pro-rated). Payment is due at the time of pick-up to your Camp Director. 5. What will my child be doing? Imagine identifying coyote tracks. Squeezing light into a laser beam. Scoping out sharks darting through the Bay. At each center we visit, experts will be guiding us through the wonders of the natural world with hands-on education that will make a lasting impact. 6. What should I pack? Since we will have up to an hour’s team game time outside, please pack layers to keep your kids cozy. We recommend packing a jacket, hat, gloves, drinking water, and nutritious snacks. PLEASE DO NOT BRING TOYS/ELECTRONICS. Edmo vibes don’t require anything extra! 7. Is extended care covered in my scholarship? Yes. All “campership” recipients receive extended care included in their $10/day reservation fee.
